SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
We always look for new material.
Photographers are encouraged to submit their photography for review
and possible inclusion on our site.
We are looking only for pictures of Israel
and for Jewish images from anywhere in the world.
It's highly advisable to a have good look
at the site, and to especially compare your own material with what
is already on the site. Refrain from sending similar images.
We need new pictures all the time. This
is what clients are looking for.
New places, faces, night life, roads, traditions, arts, coins, settlements,
sandals, just about anything.
Keep in mind that we have lots of nature pictures, and the files
are pretty saturated at this category. Send us only the best.
We also look at every historical picture, providing that there's
information about it. Never send us a picture that cannot be identified.
Images of Eretz Israel (early days) are most welcome.
Old family pictures might be a golden source for such images.
What matters is the picture. How you took
it is something else, but not important here.
We will look at all formats of photography, but prefer to view the
pictures in digital form.
Please scan your material and send us the CD. At this first stage
it's enough to scan small sizes, for review only. A good size is
600 x 900 pixels.
We'll also view slides, but they are obviously more risky to send.
Digital camera users should note that the minimum acceptable size is
2000x3000 pixels which usually results from a 6.1 mega equipment and
upwards.
That is, the smallest 300dpi printable size is A4 (about 21x29 cm /
8"x11.5").
Smaller sizes will only be considered if are of an exceptional content
importance (historically, politically or other).
Our standard size of a picture file is
55mb, saved as JPG in RGB format, closed at "11" quality
in Photoshop. That'll give us A3 size, which is about 3600 x 5400
pixels. The final scans, that you'll be asked to provide, must be
absolutely clean.
Please include full caption for each picture (where-what-when).
All the material that is sent to us is
at your own risk. Insure your pictures if you care enough to be
compensated if something goes wrong. We do not accept any responsibility
for loss or damage of any kind to your material, even for the time
it is in our possession for review, not to mention when it's on
its way to/from us.
Of course, that we'll do our best to handle it with utmost care.
We will report back to you within two weeks.
If we'll decide to accept your material, an agreement will be signed.
